Universitat (Germany). Leader of the Research Group – Biogeochemistry of
Tropical and Subtropical Forests. Coordinates research in the Atlantic Forest
of Paraná, with an emphasis on nutrient cycling, on physical-chemical-
biological interactions at soil and litter level, and on the effect of climate
change and biodiversity on forest biogeochemical dynamics and on tree
growth and nutrition. Develops also research focusing on the relationship
between soil fertility attributes and the productivity in forest plantations.
