Leticia Costa-Lotufo is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo. Member of the Academy of Sciences of the State of São Paulo (ACIESP). Member of the Biota-Fapesp program coordination. Her research involves the search for new anticancer prototypes from Brazilian biodiversity, especially from the marine environment, where she has been developing projects for the knowledge of microbial biodiversity and its
biotechnological potential, aiming at the sustainable development of new drugs. Dr. Costa-Lotufo’s activities include the supervision of undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. She has published more than 310 articles in
peer-reviewed journals.
