Prof. Dr. Julio Cesar Wasserman
Oceanographer, obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from University of Bordeaux I
(France) in 1990 and accomplished a post-doctoral fellowship in Applied Analytical Chemistry
at University of Pau, France (1999). Full Professor at the University Federal Fluminense and
Coordinator of the UFF Network of Environment and Sustainable Development (REMADS-UFF),
where researched environmental problems, particularly focused on the dynamics of
pollutants. Published more than 110 peer reviewed articles in specialized journals. Published
22 book chapters and edited 4 books. Directed 32 Master of Science dissertations and 12
doctorate theses. Presently is licensed from the University and assumed a Manager of
Environment position in the sanitation company Águas do Rio.
