Emmanuel Zagury Tourinho holds a PhD in Psychology (Experimental Psychology) at the
University of São Paulo (1994). He is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA),
Brasil, where he works in the Graduate Program in Behavioral Theory and Research. He is
currently the Rector of the Federal University of Pará, UFPA (2016-2024). He was the Pro-Rector
of Research and Post-Graduation at the Federal University of Pará (2009-2016), Coordinator
(2014-2016) of the Advisory Committee of Psychology at the National Council for Scientific and
Technological Development, CNPq, Coordinator of the Area of Psychology at the Foundation for
the Coordination and Improvement of Higher Education, CAPES (2008-2010), and President of
the National Association of Rectors of Federal Institutions of Higher Education, ANDIFES (2017-
2018).
